Keep in Touch
Once you sign up for a sponsorship, you will receive your sponsored
child’s photo and information. After the child enrolls in school,
you will receive the following:
- A personal letter from your sponsored child.
- A Christmas card from your sponsored child.
- Annual report of the child’s progress at school.
Your sponsored child may choose to correspond with
you more often and Adventist Child India will promptly forward to you
any communication that the child wishes you to receive.
We encourage you to:
- Write as often as you like to your sponsored child and include news about
yourself, your family and interests and especially messages of faith and
encouragement.
- Plan a visit to your sponsored child—email child@adventistchildindia.org to schedule and discuss your visit.
You are not required to send any gifts to your
sponsored child. However, if you wish to, you may send simple, inexpensive
gifts on the occasion of your sponsored child’s birthday or Christmas.
Please remember that as one among many children in a boarding school,
it might be uncomfortable for your sponsored child to receive too many
gifts. The Christian education you are helping the child get is already
the best gift you can give.
Some gift ideas: School supplies, clothes, shoes, Bibles, songbooks,
other Christian books, Bible games, educational toys, etc.

The Child Care Office will ensure that your child receives the materials
you send. We record each letter and gift and remove
the sponsor’s
mailing address before forwarding to the children.
This is to protect the sponsors from being inundated with possible direct
requests for
help.
